Fareham College offers an exceptional learning environment and is a centre of excellence for post-16 teaching and learning, providing the very best professional and technical training. Teaching is delivered across three state-of-the art campuses — Bishopsfield Road, CEMAST and CETC — with over £40 million of campus development completed over recent years.
The College offers a diverse range of courses including T Levels, traineeships, apprenticeships, Higher Education (HE), and part-time and professional courses to prepare students for progression to university or employment in their chosen career path. Student employability is a key focus, so the College works closely with employers to ensure its provision meets the workforce needs of the future.
CEMAST
All automotive, engineering and manufacturing programmes are delivered at the Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training (CEMAST), located at the Daedalus airfield in Lee-on-the-Solent. CEMAST is renowned as a pioneering state-of-the-art facility in terms of its industry-leading workshops, technology and equipment, providing students with a unique and industry-standard training environment.
CETC
The Civil Engineering Training Centre (CETC) is a purpose-built two-acre mock construction site close to the CEMAST campus on the Daedalus airfield, and is dedicated to the delivery of a specialist Civil Engineering & Groundworks Apprenticeship and also specialist training in Highways.
Alannah secured a place at the University of Surrey to study International Business after achieving excellent grades in Level 3 Business. She commented:
“These results mark the end of a happy two years at Fareham College. I have learned so much and feel prepared for my next steps. During the course, I completed a variety of work placements, my favourite being working alongside the Executive Team at Fareham College. I was trusted in this role to work on complex and challenging projects supporting the wider college.”
Nate recently completed a T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development, successfully achieving a Distinction grade. Nate commented:
“The T Level is extremely useful for my chosen career, a lot of courses give you the knowledge but the good thing about T Levels are that they give you both the knowledge and the experience to better equip you for your next steps.”
Lewis achieved D*D*D in Level 3 IT Practitioners and has progressed onto university. He said:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have achieved such excellent grades. A huge thank you to Fareham College for the motivation, support, teaching and incredible facilities. I don’t think I could have done it without you. Knowing I have the results I need to go to university is great. I am really proud of my achievement and am feeling very confident now looking forward to the future.”
